Artist vizual
Cezar Petryan
Drawn to the aesthetics of beauty since childhood and fascinated by the unrestricted freedom of expression offered by the visual arts, which he studied at the “Octav Băncilă” High School of Arts in Iași, visual artist Cezar Petryan confidently pursued his studies at the “George Enescu” University of Arts in Iași. There he explored painting in depth at the Faculty of Visual Arts, Decorative Arts and Design, successfully completing his studies with a master’s degree.
His passion for art and innate talent, trained and developed through dedicated work, have taken Cezar Petryan through numerous exhibition spaces. His work has been exhibited at notable venues including the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest — the “Decorativ Art” Biennial of Decorative Arts; the Cotroceni National Museum in Bucharest — the “National Salon of Decorative Art”; and the National Art Museum of Moldova in Chișinău. “Since the earliest times, art has been the most profound manifestation of human creativity. It is not merely a technique or a collection of working materials, but a state of mind—an attitude towards what exists. I could say that it possesses a divine power, through which the artist may freely express feelings, thoughts and experiences, as well as the need to reach others without obeying imposed rules or fearing society’s reaction. The artist will use every moment of inspiration to their advantage and, through colour, form and light, will convey clearly defined messages intended to reshape society’s perception of beauty. In conclusion, as an artist, I believe that art represents an act of profound honesty, both towards myself and towards those who contemplate it.”
